Google Apps for Education
Using Google Apps for educational purposes encourages students to be interested and engaged in learning. Google Apps are tools that teachers can use to bring students together based on a common topic or theme. All students have access to the app and are able to share their responses. Furthermore, students can collaborate with others and provide feedback, thus, stimulating communication. Apps such as Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google Hangouts allow students to publicly share information with other peers and their teacher. By using Google Apps, teachers are demonstrating Domain 3: Instruction of the Danielson Framework. Teachers are able to instruct students on how to complete assignments via the Google App. In addition, the use of technology relates to component 3c within the domain which is engaging students in learning. Allowing students to use online sites to aid learning encourages them to use familiar sources and increases their ability to learn.
