It is important that teachers are able to alter their lessons on the spot because of students' individual needs. If a student is struggling in a particular area, it is vital that a teacher takes time to clear up misconceptions. Furthermore, teachers need to be persistent in their teaching by allowing flexibility and change to occur in the classroom. Students learn best when they are challenged and forced to think creatively. Thus, teachers must be prepared to answer questions and set aside extra time for students.
